3 Was to Relieve Stress & Sleep Well WIth This Mineral
As a new mom again, with three children of different developmental ages, 5 months, 5 and 13 years old, my time, energy and ability to handle stress is spread (very) thin. I'm actually writing this on my phone while nursing my baby. Clearly, I did not give up multi-tasking for 2019.
With all the craziness of running a business and parenting, there's one mineral that has helped me reduce stress, avoid migraines, and even keeps my skin clear. What is this "magical" mineral?
Magnesium.
Shockingly, 80% of the U.S. population is deficient in magnesium. This necessary mineral is great for skin health, relieving anxiety and stress, calcium absorption, digestion, and so much more!
Below are three ways I add magnesium to my life.
1. Calm Magnesium Anti Stress - morning and night I take 1tsp of Natural Vitality Natural Calm Magnesium mixed with hot water. It relaxes me before bed and also provides me clarity in the morning. I have found that it also assists with digestion so you don't go to sleep feeling too full or heavy from your last meal.
2. Cacao Powder - this rich, pure form of chocolate is loaded with magnesium, as well theobromine which boasts a plethora of health benefits of its own. I'm not a coffee drinker, so cacao it's my go-to, daily. I make a morning tea with the powder, adding hemp milk and raw honey, maca root powder and turmeric. It can also be added to smoothies on-the-go.
3. Lastly, if you don't want to drink your magnesium, add it to a relaxing bath. Epsom Salt can assist with relaxation, pain, and insomnia. When added to your bath, magnesium is absorbed through the skin. Say good-bye stress and get ready for a good night's sleep!
