Specific ingredients are listed along with the picture of the given soap in the Ari Rose shop. Soaps are typically made with saponified oils of coconut, organic RSPO sustainably sourced palm oil, almond oil, olive oil, organic cocoa butter and fair-trade Shea butter. I add additional ingredients to each soap such as organic coconut milk, essential oils, oatmeal, raw honey, cinnamon, French clays and more. These added ingredients provide various benefits to the skin based on individual skin type.

By definition, "the term saponification is the name given to the chemical reaction that occurs when a vegetable oil or animal fat is mixed with a strong alkali. The products of the reaction are two: soap and glycerin." Juice Mama B&B uses food-grade lye which when mixed with our oils, begins the process of saponification. ALL soap requires the use of lye to be made. Once the soap hardens, it must cure for at least 4 weeks. This process allows the lye in the soap to evaporate, leaving a hard bar of soap for you to use.

Yes, the palm oil used in our soaps is organic and RSPO certified sustainable. There is controversy over the use of palm oil and understandably so! Ari Rose has diligently researched suppliers and determined that we would not use palm oil unless it is RSPO certified and sustainably sourced. We do not support the destruction of any animals or their habitats.

Ari Rose only uses plant-based essential oils in our soaps. Never have or will we use fragrance oils. Sometimes people ask for soaps that smell like "vanilla" or "fig" for example, however, scents like these come from fragrance oils. It is important to understand the difference between fragrance oils and essential oils. Learn more about fragrance oils here and why we do not use them.

All of our products are vegan. However, there are some vegans that consider raw honey not to be vegan. Two of our soaps contain raw honey, Honey Child and Sugar & Spice. All other products are honey-free and made with vegan, plant based ingredients.

The products are also hand made and produced with love. The owner of Ari Rose has tried almost all of the products listed, and believes in the value they provide.

Ari Roses owner, Jessica Mann, believes in the importance of women supporting women in their mental, emotional and spiritual evolution. A woman of color and mom herself, Jessica understands the challenges faced as a result of these factors. In the beginning of her entrepreneurial journey starting Ari Rose, only a few hands were reached out to her offering support. Those that did help were always women and moms. Unopened product can be returned up to 14 days after the package was mailed out. Any product returned after the 14 day period will not be refunded. We are not responsible for the cost of shipping and handling with returns. We will always do our best to rectify any issues a customer may have with the product they received.
